Like many people, I ended up in a career that I didn't expect. My name is Chris and my journey into the garage door business began at a friend's birthday party during my time in graduate school. While there, I overheard Nathan, who owned a garage door company called Creative Garage Doors, discussing his difficulties in keeping a full-time employee. Intrigued, I approached him and offered to work part-time if he would train me. This conversation marked the beginning of my career in the industry.

Over the next few years, I gained invaluable experience in running a business by working alongside Nathan. I oversaw operations and scheduling and developed practical skills that proved useful later on.
Eventually, Nathan sold the company and moved away, leaving me uncertain about my future in the garage door business.

However, fate intervened a few months later when I was invited to bid on a significant project in Steamboat Springs. The project involved the installation of 40 new doors at an apartment complex, and it gave me a unique opportunity to build a business from the ground up. Inspired, I started Chris’ Garage Doors and have never looked back since.
